About Me

Who is Temi Sorinmade?

I'm just a man on a mission to tell stories and create memorable experiences through the medium of video games. A migrant from Nigeria, eldest born into a family of 5, video games have always fascinated me. Even from young. At around age 6 when I was gifted a rather interesting Gameboy "inspired replica", I was instantly hooked. That tiny screen with dimly lit pixels transported me to a whole new world and that world keeps expanding with every new game I have the pleasure of getting my hands on.

In secondary school there were only 2 places you catch me during lunch time: either in the music room banging the drum kit or glued to one of the computers in the main hall. I loved frequenting a website called Scratch as it not only allowed you to make and play games right in your browser, you also had to chance to peak inside the game you were playing and see the blocks of visual code showing how the game functions. I remember being completely blown away by some of the massive bits of programming done in some of my favourite projects and it lit an extreme fire that is still burning brightly to this day.

At one point I decided to make a fan replica of one of my favourite games at the time, Sonic the Hedgehog but since I had no developing tools or experience, I joined the games club after school and began learning from there. That place was like a second home to me and it was there that I used my first official game engine, Game Maker Studio 8.

Fast forward a few years, hastily made fan games and a LOT of different game engines explored, and now game development has become a regular part of my life!

As I graduate from university this year and look to the future, I have a lot more planned for in the realm of games and even hope to open my own independent studio one day!
